Can we understand our chakra system with the tarot? Yup!

The tarot cards relate to all aspects of our lives.  Each suit dealing with a different aspect and a different element. Our chakras also have elemental characteristics and we can link the two in a reading.

Grab your favorite deck. And separate the suits, and the major arcana. 

Now that you have your 5 piles.  Take a moment to center yourself.  

Once you’ve done that. Shuffle the pentacles and pull one for your root chakra. The element for these cards is earth. And has to do with our health and abundance in all things-finances, spirituality and health. 

Next grab the pile of wands cards. Shuffle and pull one for the second and third chakra- making a line up from bottom. The wands energy is fire like the third chakra, but also deals with our creativity so I feel it’s a good fit for the 2nd chakra too. 

Next is our heart chakra. Grab the cups, and once again shuffle and pull one. This cup represents love and water. Our heart chakra is usually thought to be the air element but it is also our center for love - hence the cups. 

And the swords. Shuffle and use these for your throat and 6th chakra. Speaking our truth, cutting through to the truth and the mind. This is often what the swords represent. And their element is air.

And finally our 7th chakra- our connection to the universal, to sprit, the big picture. For this shuffle and pull from the major arcana. 

Take a look at each card and it’s meanings. See how they relate. See if any of the images are pointing to anything in the other cards. See if you see a pattern, see if there is balance. Perhaps there are a few of the same number?  Check into what that represents to you and numerologically.  And see if some areas help to compensate to balance other areas.
